Website Design for Welspun
Our client Welspun’s project SPACES, was going through a stage of revamping their visual language. We were asked to redesign their website’s Homepage to bring the look and feel to be in line with the existing branding.
Since SPACES was more widely recognized than Welspun, the parent company, it was decided that the homepage should focus on branding for SPACES.
After SPACES rethought brand values and design language, our initial step to the redesigning was to design a new layout. We made sure the essential elements like the design style, and colour scheme were in line with SPACES’s brand book. It was also required that we create a strong and consistent visual identity to achieve maximum impact in all communications.
In the layout of the page, the wordmark consists of six panels, each holding one letter of the brand name ‘SPACES’. These six panels formed the core foundation of the brand’s new identity. Since the design already had the panels from their logos, it was easier to fit into the responsive grid layout. This grid system ensured that the layout of the website was optimized to fit all devices, including mobiles and tablets.
This ensured that our design was both, visually in line with the brief, and technically accurate.
We were able to deliver their new website with the redesigned homepage, which displayed their new branding. The page was well-received. We shall continue to keep pushing out more great work in the times to come.
