Reckitt Benckiser

Reckitt Benckiser conducts a case study competition every year called RB Mavericks.


The participants are tested for both mental acumen and physical strength. Reckitt Benckiser pays for the winners MBA and awards them with a job.

They approached us to shoot a video that captured the strategy deployed and obstacles faced by each of the participants during Mavericks. This was a hard video to shoot as the rough terrain of Uttarakhand meant that we could only few people and fewer pieces of equipment.


In order to highlight the struggle of the participants we decided to shoot the video in reality TV format.

Before the start of every task we took a brief from the coordinating team. This helped us foresee obstacles that the users could face and it easier for us to set up and shoot them.

We chronicled and shot the events from the two and a half day Dehradun-based boot-camp which tested candidates’ abilities to work in teams, think creatively and collectively, and overcome tough physical challenges.

By the end of the challenge we had 60 hours of raw footage ready. We edited this to a two minute video which was played on the day of the competition’s finale – the event where the winners were to be announced.


The video, played in the finale worked as a testimony to the mental and physical strength of the participants, thus justifying their selection into Reckitt and Benckiser.
