BlueAnt Digital tastes the Social Samosa

“How important is it to be Social when working in Social media?” This is something that has perplexed me for a very long time. Here’s my ‘Social Friday’ story. Now Friday!!! The most craved after day of the week. Just like everyone else, we ants love our eventful Friday evenings. It is because that no two Fridays of ours have ever been the same. We hold most of our Talks on Fridays and Fridays are when we actually step out and get overwhelmed with our dear city’s sights and sounds. Fortunately, the Social Samosa’s #SSMeetup was held on Friday the 13th (June). And I realised, what better way to meet people who work in the similar industry space as us. Not to forget, it was held at Delhi’s favourite hangout hub, Hauz Khas Village. For those who might not know about Social Samosa, it is an online knowledge hub for the social media industry. It helps bring together social media business practices, agency news, events and different social networks on a common platform. I also discovered it is one of a kind knowledge centre for the Indian social media agencies. Given the nature of the meet up, my purpose to attend it was fairly simple. Reach the venue, OTB Cafe, meet new people, make new friends and drink some Red Bull (along with other beverages). Yes that’s exactly what I did! Pleasantly surprised, the people I met were warm, friendly, open and liked the same beverages that I do (only adding to the social media camaraderie). And it was a full house! The event was a celebration of social media, a common thread in the vast digital fabric. Oh! And there were some very interesting activities, games, interviews, videos, digital projections and great music. ‘BlueAnt Digital Intelligence’, the name I represented; became quite a popular point of interest in most of my conversations. Something I will be cherishing for a long, long time to come. And lastly a BIG Thank You team Social Samosa, it was delicious! 😀
